Note: Last week at the NFL Combine, USC OL Andrew Voorhees tore his ACL in on-field drills but, post-injury, still recorded the best bench press (38 reps) by a 2023 prospect. This is a fascinating prospect in that he can play almost anywhere along the OL, but is a little older and is now injured. He would have been a round 2-3 pick, but someone will probably get a steal here on Day 3. More prospects and non-football content coming this week. - Ted
Andrew Vorhees—Utility Offensive Lineman
6’6” – 325lbs
Tape Watched: UCLA [LG] (2022), Cal [LT] (2021), UCLA [RG] (2018)
Usually I don’t need to set a massive stage for a player, because the tape is pretty cut and dry. Vorhees is a unique induvial. For starters, his first college start was in 2017, and he played his last season in 2022. My point being Vorhees is a little bit older since he has been in college for half a decade. Vorhees sort of has three “phases”, each of which has him starting in different positions. Now, the major issue is that Vorhees CLEARLY improved as a player over his years at USC, but it’s hard to accurately gauge his skill at each of his three positions, because they were at different levels of development. In an attempt to grade him the most thoroughly and accurately, I’m just going to focus on his last two seasons, where he played left tackle and left guards.
